   Ayurveda, a well-recognised system of medicine has unique techniques for harmonious living. In present days, considerable global attention has been paid in utilising Ayurveda for attaining the healthy Physical, Mental, Social and Spiritual existences. At the same time the preservation of local knowledge, the promotion of indigenous medical systems in primary health care and conservation of biodiversity has attained more concern.

   
     D.G.M Ayurvedic medical college, Gadag. Karnataka, is celebrating its Silver Jubilee year. To commumarate this auspicious occasion we have planned to organise the "International Ayurvedic Conference and Ayur-Expo Atharva 2006" to be held on 1st , 2nd & 3rd December 2006.
   
     ATHARVA-2006, International seminar and Ayur-Expo aims to reinforce the purity and potency of Ayurveda, which provides a platform and a bridge for the academicians and also industrial persons for exchange and updating the scientific information.

  Conference Details :
  The scientific programme starts with plenary sessions, which includes Keynote addresses followed by lectures of renowned personalities from the academics and research faculty to cover major subjects of current interest. For encouraging the young researchers there will be Oral paper and Poster presentation sessions also. Panel discussion concludes the scientific programme.

  Abstract Oral / Poster Presentation
 
  • A soft copy of abstract in MS word format along with two hard copies to be submitted in English language.
  • The Paper must be structured under the headings of Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion and References
  • A Declaration stating that the paper was not considered for any award / degree / prize / publication earlier must be given by author.
   
  Full Paper:
  Persons whose abstracts are selected for the Presentation by the scientific committee will be informed and they should send soft copy and two hard copies before 15th October 2006.
  Note :The time for Oral Presentation is 5+1 minute and mode of Presentation is with L.C.D. Projector.
   
  Poster Presentation :
 
  • Poster Paper should be of in size 3x2 ft with stencils in Indian ink or Power Point.
  • It is responsibility of author to setup & dismantle the poster material.
  • The Poster should be visually appealing and professional in appearance.
  • The other rules are as applicable to the oral presentation.
